The Story Behind the Practice
Dorina's story with Pilates began after years of recurring lower back pain from office work in her twenties. Different treatments brought temporary relief, but the pain kept returning. Two pregnancies and years of childminding added further strain.
Pilates became the turning point in 2008. The improvement sparked a deeper interest in movement, posture, anatomy, body mechanics, and teaching.
The practice today is shaped by both training and lived experience: back pain, knee, foot and elbow injuries, diastasis recti recovery after pregnancy, physiotherapy, fascia movement training, and an ongoing strength training journey. This gives the teaching a practical understanding of what it can feel like to rebuild strength, trust, and confidence in the body.
